Doctors’s office for psychotherapy

The flow of life, which is symbolized by a rope lying in front of the patient on the floor, represents the beginning (birth), the past, the present, and the future.
Through severe stress one can feel, as if life is not progressing. One can feel as if everything is just repeating, or that yesterday and today cannot be distinguished. With the image of the flow of life we approach a new experience of time, as a way of viewing the past differently.
The trauma of the patients sits deep in the mind. The soul is fragmented like a mirror that has fallen to the ground. The patient cannot get rid of it on their own.
The traumatic experience accompanies them every day and night. They brood over it, the images keep coming back, and they cannot let go of what happened. In moments of relaxation the past breaks in suddenly and painfully. The affected individuals lose control over their lives.
My goal-oriented therapy technique aims to restore balance, bring the mind and body into harmony, and balance feelings and thoughts.
Hafes Shalabi, Dipl. Psychologist / Psychological Psychotherapist
My psychological focus
My therapeutic approach centers on cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, systemic couples and family therapy, as well as psychotherapy for children and adolescents. In addition, as a certified hypnotherapist, I integrate hypnotherapeutic techniques into cognitive behavioral treatment where appropriate.
For nearly two decades, intercultural therapy has been a key element of my professional practice. I also provide guidance to fellow professionals, offering coaching and consultation on working effectively with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Within my practice, I support individuals dealing with a wide range of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety and panic disorders, psychosomatic conditions, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other trauma-related issues, obsessive-compulsive disorder, eating disorders, sleep disturbances, burnout, and stress-related difficulties.
When working with children and adolescents, I pay particular attention to attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADD/ADHD), as well as emotional responses such as grief and anger that may arise during or after parental separation.
With compassion and professionalism, I provide care for patients with statutory health insurance, private coverage, and self-paying clients, supporting them in managing psychological disorders and navigating personal crises.
